The Kingsman Educational Model

Our academic structure is our greatest strength. We offer a continuous, integrated pathway designed to cultivate intellectual depth over time. The journey begins in our Senior School (ages 16-18), where students engage in rigorous pre-university preparation through either the A-Level or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. This is not merely exam preparation; it is a foundational indoctrination into the methods of critical inquiry and independent research expected at the university level.

From there, students transition seamlessly into our Undergraduate Schools (BA, BSc, BEng), where foundational knowledge is deepened into specialized mastery. Our programmes are structured to be cross-disciplinary, encouraging students to explore the intersections between their chosen fields. The pathway culminates in our Postgraduate Faculty (MA, MSc, MRes, PhD), where students engage in original research, contribute new knowledge to their disciplines, and work alongside our leading faculty. This model ensures that from age 16 to 28, a student is nurtured within a consistent and challenging academic environment.

The Senior School (A-Level & IBDP)

The Senior School serves as the gateway to higher education. We understand that the final two years of secondary education are the most critical in shaping a student’s future academic trajectory. We offer two globally recognised curricula:

  • A-Levels: Offering depth and specialization, this pathway allows students to focus intensively on three or four subjects (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics) in preparation for specialized university degrees.
  • International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma: Favouring breadth and holistic development, the IBDP requires students to study six subjects across a range of disciplines, alongside a ‘Core’ comprising the Theory of Knowledge (TOK), a 4,000-word Extended Essay, and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS).

Both streams are taught by specialist faculty, many of whom also teach at the undergraduate level, providing students with a unique preview of university-level expectations.

Undergraduate Schools of Study

School of Computational Science & Digital Futures Our flagship BSc in Computational Science is built on a foundation of mathematical rigor and practical application. It moves beyond simple coding to explore the “why” of computation. Specializations include Artificial Intelligence & Ethics, Cybersecurity, and Data Science. Students engage with complex algorithms, neural networks, and data structures, all while debating their societal impact in modules shared with our PPL faculty.

School of Design & Visual Arts We offer a BA in Design & Visual Arts and a BFA in Digital Media. Rooted in the Athenian context, our programme begins with classical drawing, art history, and aesthetic theory before launching into modern practice. Students explore graphic design, UI/UX, interactive media, and digital fabrication. The programme is studio-intensive, culminating in a final-year graduate exhibition that serves as a major showcase for European creative agencies.

School of Engineering & Applied Physics This department offers BEng degrees focused on tangible solutions. Our BEng in Engineering & Applied Physics combines mechanical, electrical, and materials science with a strong theoretical physics core. The BEng in Sustainable Systems & Robotics addresses the critical challenges of our time, training engineers to design smart cities, renewable energy grids, and autonomous systems with efficiency and sustainability in mind.

School of Economics & Global Markets Our BSc in Economics & Global Markets provides a comprehensive, quantitative, and analytical understanding of economic theory. Unlike many programmes, we heavily integrate economic history and policy, believing that models cannot be understood outside their real-world context. Students specialize in Econometrics, Financial Markets, or International Policy, preparing them for roles in global finance, government, and policy-making.

School of Philosophy, Politics & Law (PPL) Reflecting our Athenian home, the BA in PPL is the intellectual core of the Institute. This is a text-heavy, debate-intensive programme. Students grapple directly with primary sources, from Plato and Aristotle to modern political theorists and legal scholars. The programme is not a separate law degree, but an integrated study of the three pillars of civic society, training students in analytical precision and persuasive argumentation.

School of Life Sciences & Biotechnology The BSc in Life Sciences & Biotechnology prepares students for the frontiers of medical and environmental science. From the first year, students are in the laboratory, mastering techniques in molecular biology, genetics, and biochemistry. The programme emphasizes research, with many undergraduates co-authoring published papers with faculty before they even graduate, leading to pathways in medicine, pharmaceuticals, and advanced environmental research.

Postgraduate Faculty

Our Postgraduate Faculty offers a range of taught and research-based degrees. Taught MA and MSc programmes (e.g., MSc Data Science, MA International Relations, MSc Econometrics) provide one year of intensive, specialized instruction for professional advancement. Our MRes (Master of Research) degrees serve as a preparatory year for a PhD, focusing heavily on research methodology. The PhD is the pinnacle of our academic offering, a 3-4 year programme of independent research under the supervision of our leading faculty, culminating in a thesis that represents a significant, original contribution to knowledge.
